Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a project that gives a daily list of fictional events, birthdays, anniversaries and milestones found in TV, Movies, Video Games and more. Motivation is a fictional based Newspaper style "This Day in History" blurb. It needs to work as both an avatar and header image, It will eventually be used beyond social media branding and will appear on future infographics and potentially videos. Specific color preference is not as important, but at the same time I am sports-obsessed so there will Primary and Secondary logos with typical Home / Away / 3rd color schemes used. This a project that will have 365 posts a year, so we'll need to play with the logo a bit, or people will get bored. Use of either the full name or the abbreviation is fine.
