Logo Design Brief

15 Years in the business working mostly commercial large-scale visible projects like stadiums, Costcos, Car Dealerships and so on.. Now looking to enhance its brand and launch into the consumer market with (mainly to start) Designer Epoxy Garage Floors. Other services offered would be Log Cabin Staining, Interior and Exterior Home Painting, Pressure Washing, Sand Blasting and coatings of most any kind. A digital marketing campaign will follow this logo design with large impressions and engagement. To start, we will target the epoxy garage floor market with videos and like content. We live and work in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes. We will target lake homes, but not limited too. A thought was to see a logo that had maybe 3 stick figures throughout the logo that showed work types. One spraying a coating on a wall, one rolling a coating on the floor with a long roller, and the 3 with a foreman hat and clipboard. These stick figures could possibly be constructing the letters for example. The brand will still be used for the Commercial side where we work with large contractors managing some of the States largest projects. So, descriptive of the diversity of offerings, fun and modern yet staying business professional. The products we use for garage floors have the idea of amazing finishes but also logic with high durability. Garage floor finishes are also somewhat vanity to the homeowner, so we will play to that pride of ownership in the marketing. Attached is the logo that has been used prior, mainly for the website that was never intended for driving web click traffic. Please no paint brushes.. Rollers or spray is any tools. Clipboards are ok. No paint brushes. Paint brushes give a feeling of art. Also, the logo attached was done in blue, black and white. The client wants green, black and white.

Target Market(s)

Homeowners with homes in the mid to upper level value in the Minnesota area. The brand must also (still) speak to our Commercial business working with large contractors. With the consumer branding we will target high end lake homes, plus. We will first target the epoxy garage floor market with a digital advertising campaign.

Must have
  • The client has the colors of green, white and black. So working with the green to get some "pop" will be needed. As well, working the green with the black and white.. Really like to see a logo that shows the diversity of the work we do (Designer Epoxy Garage Floors, Log Cabin Staining, Interior and Exterior Home Painting, Pressure Washing, Sand Blasting and coatings) without being busy. A thought was to see a logo that had maybe 3 stick figures throughout the logo that showed work types. One spraying a coating on a wall, one rolling a coating on the floor with a long roller, and the 3 with a foreman hat and clipboard. These stick figures could possibly be constructing the letters for example. The brand will still be used for the Commercial side where we work with large contractors managing some of the States largest projects. But it must be professional and the figures must be somewhat custom to this logo I would think.
Nice to have
  • Really like to see a logo that shows the diversity of the work we do (Designer Epoxy Garage Floors, Log Cabin Staining, Interior and Exterior Home Painting, Pressure Washing, Sand Blasting and coatings) without being busy. Some kind of a image or something memorable. Radom thought was 2 or 3 stick figures as mentioned in the project discerption.
