I need a book cover for a project on the history of a province in Cambodia. It is a joint project with Sakun, who is a wheelchair bound local resident from the salt fields. This is a 200 year story told through the lives of his family and ancestors. The photo of the people should be on the back cover. The overall effect should be a historical book which draws people in with the detail of the two main images - map and drawing with the helicopter somewhere - maybe back cover? The title should not obscure the detail in the pictures too much.

Requirements
Must have
- A feel for the past (eg the French colonial map)
Nice to have
- Images of salt fields - the top left part of the drawing has this connection.
Should not have
- I want to avoid the image and perception of war - the helicopter may give a wrong impression - it was dropping food to starving villagers. Perhaps emphasize the map more?
