Logo Design Brief

I would like a simple logo design for a new consulting company that I have created. The intent is to create a recognisable identity similar to the Big Four consulting firms - please see the attached mockup and EY, KPMG, Accenture, Bain, and similar logos. My consulting firm will be called encap.consulting (note, deliberately lower-case), and will provide technical and commercial strategy advice for investors and developers leading the energy transition. The website address is encap.consulting and this is also the suffix for email addresses. The tagline for the firm is "energy capital, transformed". Hence, I would like a logo that evokes simplicity and directness. Lower-case is the preferred form. There may be value in associating the logo with particular, energy-centric colours, both old (BP, Shell), and new (Equinor, Tesla, etc). The origami-type symbol and dot in the name are also key features to highlight the transformative nature of my consulting, and to allude to digital disruption, so I would welcome any ideas on this. It would be helpful if the logo could be paired with a suitable font that could be used for the associated business card. Attached is an example logo created using logojoy, though I think there is scope for improvement, e.g. by adding colour to the dot, refining font spacing, changing the symbol, etc etc! Looking forward to your suggestions and to working together.

Must have

• Iconic, simple logo. no more than two or three colours as per most professional strategy firms in the financial industry. maximum two types of unfussy fonts. see attached image for inspiration. also ask if the logo is still recognisable in black and white, or at smaller sizes

Nice to have

• ideally no more than two or three core colours. e.g. black text and orange shapes, etc.

Should not have

• more than two fonts in the logo
