Logo Design Brief

Ideally, I'd like this logo to be a bit not he playful side, one that showcases a small sort of lap dog. There's lots of weightlifting and strength and conditioning logos out there that have a bulldog or some mean looking dog in the centre of their logo. I'd like something that is a bit more tongue in cheek--with something like a Chihuahua or a Papillion dog in the centre of the logo. I take weightlifting really seriously and so do my lifters--but we do it in a playful way. I'd be very happy with a circular logo--but I guess I'm open to things. I've uploaded an image of these sort of mean looking logos that I'm not really interested in--I'd like something that played off this idea. I think I'm less interested in a cartoony look--but I could be convinced otherwise. It should be noted that this is about the sport of weightlifting (snatch, clean and jerk) and not what goes on in a commercial gym: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_weightlifting
