Logo Design Brief

I help companies with developing collaborative innovation partnerships with their suppliers. My current market is mining companies, and having worked with several over the past year I have now incorporated under a new name, Alacris Innovation Consulting Inc.
I am looking for a logo that would be used for business cards, invoices, report covers and, in due course, the web site.
I like stylized animal metaphors, but open to other ideas. I consider myself experienced but approachable; clients say I help them rise above the day-to-day and see a bigger picture. My instinct is to "learn together", so naturally I want my company identity to reflect these values.

Requirements

Must have

• Alacris is a latin word meaning cheerful, eager, spirited, courageous and ready. I want the logo to reflect those ideas, but also collaboration and partnership.

Nice to have

• If you were using stylized animal metaphors, it could look something like the attached, but I don't intend that to be a constraint. Also, I'm thinking pastel greens but open to ideas.
