Logo Design Brief

I require a company logo that will be used for both company business cards and company website. The company offers automation and electrical engineering services. I envisioned the logo to suggest and identify with both electrical engineering and communication networks. Company designs are geared toward DCS and PLC systems including everything electrical (motor's, VFD's, MCC bldgs., etc.).

I'd like something modern looking and open to creative ideals that can somehow incorporate electrical circuits and communication networks. That being said, I don't want something overly busy.
