Logo Design Brief

We are seeking a logo to use on our website and documentation for our flagship software product named "The Proteus Framework".

My company VentureTech uses the Proteus Framework in all of our product development. The framework is a very large code base developed over the course of ten+ years. The framework is a library of components and a CMS that ties them all together. The framework's is for web application development and is Java-based.

The logo for VentureTech (http://static3.vipasuite.com/resources/dyn/files/1139468z46ba26ba/_fn/logo-large.png) was the result of another DesignCrowd contest.

We would like the logo for Proteus to complement the logo and color scheme of VentureTech since the two will need to be used together from time to time. However, we want Proteus Framework to still have its own identity.

The font used in the VentureTech logo is Neo Sans(Medium) and it uses these colors: dark blue: RGB(41, 73, 124) (Hex: 29497c), light blue: RGB(28, 116, 187) (Hex: 1c74bb). The Proteus logo does not have to use this font or colors but as mentioned the new Proteus logo should be compatible with the VentureTech logo when used together.
