Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for an optometry clinic in fort collins, colorado. We are a state of the art practice that provides routine eye examinations as well as ocular disease management and contact lens fittings (both specialty and standard). The practice will not sell glasses so I dont want any sort of glasses in the logo. The practice will share a building and monument signage with the optical chain Eyemart Express so our logo needs to pair well with their logo but we are a completely separate business from them. I want our logo to be a reflection of the innovative eye care we provide. I would like the logo to have text as well as an eye logo that can be used independent of the text for scrubs/letterhead etc. I have attached a picture of fort collins as well as a picture of a local view of horsetooth rock in case we can somehow incorporate features of fort collins in the logo (maybe in the center of the eye logo possibly??)
