Logo Design Brief

We need a logo redesign/update for an established home improvement company based in Cincinnati. The company has had the same logo for 14 years and we are looking to bring the design up to date and give us the file formats we need to share with web companies and to use in other design elements. Our company motto is 'Treating your house like our home'. We believe in superior craftsmanship, reliability, and doing it right the first time. We serve high end residential remodel clients specializing in windows, doors, kitchens, basements, bathrooms, and outdoor living spaces. Creative use of tool elements (tape measure, hammer, drill, saws) in the design is welcome. A lumber or wood grain theme would fit with our business. We would like to see an iconic stand alone logo element along with the business name as text. Being able to use both independently is a benefit. Current company colors are black and white but we are open to creative use of a single accent color to help the design stand out.
