Logo Design Brief

We are an IT services company, delivering specialized expert services in the area of Identity and Access Management to enterprise level customers.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) is the security and business discipline that "enables the right individuals to access the right resources at the right times and for the right reasons".
The name of the company is elementity (www.elementity.de) and comes from two latin words: element and identity. Our initial logo and its version for social media you can find attached.

We are looking for:
1. Either uplift the existing logo and make it look more modern
2. OR get a complete rebranding

The final design should look professional and communicate that we are go-to experts in the field. The design will be used on the website, social media, letterheads, etc, so should be available in two versions: full and small. The logo should be recognisable when printed black/white or monochrome.
