This is a 2 in 1 logo project. I host 2 websites which feature picture galleries for roleplaying game pre-painted miniatures. ( www.minisgallery.com and www.pathfindermins.com ). While most of the miniatures are fantasy gaming focused, the sites do also feature science fiction miniatures as well. These are fairly high exposure websites and I really would like logos that do the sites justice.
Thematically, I have no existing ideas as to what type of graphic / background / font style I want for the logo(s). Whether the image incorporates any fantasy or science fiction elements is up the designer, as is whether it features any miniature images or not.
One half of the logo should contain the wording “Pathfinder Minis” and the other half of the logo should contain “Minis Gallery”. (Note: On my existing website I am using the wording “Mini’s Gallery”, however I want to now drop the apostrophe).
The full logo will appear on my Facebook site similar to the current one: www.facebook.com/minisgallery/ (Note: I will add in the URL’s myself at the bottom of the logo(s), or the design can incorporate the URL -- however when I split up the logo(s) to be used on each separate website, I do not want the URL to appear in the logo).
When I split up the logo(s) and use each half on the corresponding websites, I want the logo half to still look like a complete logo. While I like the idea of an “interlocking” logo, the logo half must not look incomplete when separated, so I’m not sure if an interlocking logo will work. Mainly I am looking for a “unifying” theme for the logos – the theme itself can unite the logos. Perhaps background images or other elements could also be used to graphically unite them as well. When I cut the logos in half, then it is up to the designer whether the split is made vertically or horizontally.
UPDATE:
Sorry if I have not been very clear in the design idea I am looking for -- I'm not always good with descriptive writing.
Another way to think of this, is that this is a project for designing 2 different logos, however the background / theme / design / font of the 1 logo can basically be the same as the other logo (only the text will change). I have added a sample logo as one of the ideas I am looking for. Please note that the green dragon is only an example and should not be used in the graphic.
UPDATE #2:
I'm still getting many designs that incorporating the initials "MG" into the logo. "MG" in the logo does not work, as it look outs of place on the Pathfinder Minis website and vice-versa).

Nice to have
- It would be nice to have some sort of graphic icon that represents the two pages. As in my example I have used a dragon head. This icon should not incorporate any abbreviation of either of the two websites. (In example "MG" in the icon would not work, as it would look out of place on the Pathfinder Minis website and vice-versa).
