Word Template Design Brief

We have the need for a Microsoft Word template that can be printed to PDF directly, without the need for an Adobe software expert to produce product datasheets, case studies, and white papers. I envision the datasheet to be a superset of all templates, where case study is a subset of the total elements, and white paper has fewer of the elements, but all share the same overall design. We would like the datasheet to be 4 pages and have several sections including highlights, and efficient tables with a clean design.

Requirements

Must have

• Must follow the design guidelines document for colors and font (Lato). Sections of the datasheet include these, where taking sections out could allow for the same base template to serve as a case study or white paper. The product image should be white background, and while banners or borders are OK, they are not required if keeping the template very clean looking informs a more basic layout. The main goal is to have a template that is easy to use, even if it means sacrificing some production quality.

Nice to have

• Mostly white, easy to print, main color is Process Cyan C, though from the example image, using orange and yellow to imply light and motion are good (given our equipment moves data to and from the internet)

Should not have

• 15 pages like the example, 4 pages is all we need, making the table formatting (for the end of the template) a vital part of the design.
