I should have made this a point of clarification earlier - but if possible the RAYS should not overtake the action shot - unless it's a design detail.

Basically - I want to have the rays as a discrete background - visible but not to where it's the main focal point of the image.

The focus will be on who the individual is in the action shot as well as their name.
