Newsletter Design Brief
www.groupcellar.com is a Magento based website that has weekly group deals on wine. The current emails that are sent from the site are based on the default Magento templates and look too plain. We would like the email communication to our customers to better match the look and feel of the rest of the website.
The final designs need to include the html that can be used directly as Transactional Emails in Magento v1.6.1.
We need emails designed for the following actions:
1) Register for a new account
2) Request our newsletter
3) When you sign up for a deal
4) When deal isn’t on
5) When deal is on (we want to call this "deal uncokred" and have a graphic of a cork popping out of a bottle of wine)
6) When order has shipped
Emails 3-6 should include a product image of the wine bottle that was purchased. The attached file winebottlesample.png is a good example image to use for this. In the actual template this code will retrieve the product image URL: {{block type='core/template' name='prodImage' template='email/dealImage.phtml' order=$order}}
The files attached to this brief contain the PhotoShop files for our Website homepage, logo, and the text/html content of each of the transactional Magento emails that we use today on the site. The new email template designs can resuse the same text content from the emails that we currently use.
For template creation purposes images files will be stored here on the website:
