This is the story of the crew of a German Uboat at the dawn of WWII. Anyone who enjoys alternate history stories like The Man in the High Castle, will love Kraken.

Design Elements
A submarine and the Nazi swastika should be featured as design elements. A potential reader should be able to look at the cover an immediately identify this as a story about a German submarine during WWII. The cover should be done in the style of Saul Bass - bold background color, lettering colored in strong contrast to the background etc.

• Google images of Saul Bass. You'll see both his work and movie posters and book covers that were inspired by his work. This should help you get an ise of the look I'd like to see on my cover.

Nice to have

• In the story, the submarine is the Kraken - the monster from the depths. One thought I had was to have tentacles coming off the submarine - think half submarine, half giant squid. I'm not a visual artist so I'm not sure if that would work visually on the cover. So this is just an idea for you to play around with.
