Signage Design Brief

We need to design an insert for a monument sign that would go in front of a newly to be constructed garden style apartment complex in Clintonville, Wisconsin, USA. We have not yet settled on a name for the complex, and welcome your ideas. The apartment address is located on 16th Street in Clintonville, WI. Traditional apartment names like Park View Apartments or Rolling Meadows Estates feel dated and overused. We want to come up with something that feels more current and hip but also authentic. This is new, quality, but traditional upscale housing. The Developer is PRE/3 out of Brookfield, WI. Ideally, the project name should not be duplicative of anything else that Premier Real Estate Management does property management for. Other properties under management can be found on our website at www.pre-3.com.


Sign colors should be consistent with the building exterior siding color "Irish Thistle" which is a grey green color. The oval insert needs to be 72 inches wide by 48 inches high. There should also be a rectangular insert for the site phone number. The file should preferably be a vector PDF.

Photos of what the complex will look like is attached. Also attached is a sign from another project so you can see how the oval will be used within the monument sign.

Target Market(s)

Renters from millennials who just moved out of their parents homes, to seniors looking to downsize, to anyone looking for a flexible living situation. Clintonville is a small, quiet town in central Wisconsin with traditional values.

• Must state the apartment name, and indicate that it is an upscale apartment complex.
• There also needs to be a coordinating rectangular insert below that has the project phone number (unknown at this time) and the Fair Housing symbol

• Sign colors should coordinate with the overall apartment complex colors.

• writing that is difficult to read from a distance.
