Logo Design Brief

Create a logo for a soccer conference that will be hosted by Yale School of Management, with the main objetive of discuss the business in the soccer industry.

The Yale School of Management’s soccer club, SOM United, is organizing the first soccer conference to promote the role of management in this billionaire industry. The 2019 edition with the theme “Values in the Global Football Business” will kick off the first event, which will continue to be held annually by the school in the future.

Fueled by Yale School of Management’s motto to educate leaders for business and society, the leadership of the club has identified a gap between these two words despite the significant intersection between them. There is currently no specific event to explore the role of business in soccer and establish forward-looking opportunities to revolutionize this industry. This event aims to bridge this gap and will have representatives from all related sectors including media, apparel, sports analytics, club owners and managers, youth development coordinators and current and former players. We expect audience demand to exceed the event’s capacity, given its ambitious objective and unique opportunity for those who, like us, are passionate about this sport and are eager to improve it.

This conference is designed to be the most important soccer conference in the world. The conference will have world-class speakers. Representatives from ESPN, Barcelona, Bayern München, Sao Paulo FC, River Plate, and CBF are in an advanced stage of negotiation, as well as former players such as Kaka, Ronaldo (Brazil), and Lizarazu, just to mention a few names.

The conference will potentially be covered by ESPN, since this media channel will be greatly involved in the organization and speeches. Negotiations are in progress.
