Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my mediation service company called "Emmons Mediation," which is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I also offer the service at different locations throughout California. I am an attorney and a mediator who facilitates negotiations between parties trying to settle legal cases or trying to reach agreements. The logo will be used on my website, on business cards, and company stationary. I am attaching a jpg file with the current logo that I find boring. I don't like the font or the arrangement of the graphics and text. I want to keep the white knight chess piece from the current logo or a drawing of the exact same shape - the white color and the shape of the chess piece are important. I am currently using a royal blue, golden yellow, white and black palette, but I am open to other ideas. The final design should communicate a professionalism, yet be eye-catching.

Requirements

Must have

• The white knight chess piece graphic from the current logo (see attached file) or a drawing of the exact same shape - the white color and the shape of the chess piece are important.

Nice to have

• At least one design with the text of the company name superimposed over the white knight chess piece graphic. Regarding the colors, I lean toward the royal blue, golden yellow, white and black palette. But, I am open to other color combinations. Also, it might be nice to have the two names "Emmons" and "Mediation" in two different fonts and two different sizes.
