Logo Design Brief
This is a therapy practice that caters to the needs of the every day man. It is not built on the classic psychotherapy format that relies on strong talking skills or typical talk therapy. It is much more action oriented, dare I say distraction focused. Think Sports, cars, bars, rustic outdoor, pool tables, dart boards and exercise. We are talking about a ManCave for therapy. We are decidedly NOT a classic therapy modality and do not want the cliche streams, nature, flowers, and " you can heal if you just look inside" type of thought process. We are marketing to Mechanics, farmers, musicians, athletes, first responders and veterans, blue collar and white collar men who prefer beer and whiskey to expensive scotch and wine. This is by men, for men, and about men. Therapy was built around a feminine model( ironically by men) and it does not speak to the needs of men. We are looking to change that. We are looking for men to come in, find comfort and leave feeling like they are comfortable with who they are now and can leave the past behind them.
Target Market(s)
our target market is the everyman that sees classic therapy as anathema. We are looking to target men who prefer man caves, sports, cars, and bars instead of sitting in a room talking. Even further we are looking to reach out to those that are looking to have a tune up and learn skills rather than dive deeply into their past. Men that are more rustic.

Requirements
Must have
- we must have a simple image that can be easily translated to a clean black business card, and clothing, particularly hats. We must have a synthesis of the Psi symbol for psychology. They can be abstract but if we look at it we would like to think, yes, that speaks to my animal instinct!
Nice to have
- something that would look good as a raised image perhaps.
Should not have
- no complication, no text , and no more than a single color. Also, nothing that speaks to the classic therapy marketing of leave strewn walkways, trees, stream, flowers, or anything that invokes the idea of rebirth. This is for men, its more about certainty and knowledge over the unknown.
