Logo Design Brief

I need a new logo for my consultancy. I work primarily with Intellectual Property (patents, trademarks, copyright, etc.) attorneys / lawyers around the world and help them to achieve their business development goals. So, in short, I help them to retain and grow their clients and also to develop relationships and win new clients. On the one hand, the design will need to look formal/conservative to reflect the industry; however, I can see the appeal of other less formal designs, such as water colours. I like the colour green. The final design should communicate the coming together of business development and intellectual property... perhaps, but not necessarily, as two jigsaw pieces?

Must have

• The business cards will need to have the new logo, my company name and my name, title & contact information including telephone number, email address and website.

Should not have

• IMPORTANT - I work in Intellectual Property which is NOTHING to do with actual property such as houses and buildings - I think from these early design submissions some of you think that you should be incorporating houses/buildings into the design... you shouldn't. Intellectual Property is am umbrella term for patents, trademarks, copyright and designs...
