We don''t know exactly what we want, which is why we''re starting this design contest so that we get as many different concepts from as many different people and companies as possible, taking advantage of the diverse creative efforts and and individual talent of everyone. In other words, you have full creative freedom to express your best inner talent in this logo. Have many different ideas for this logo? Don''t be shy and don''t limit yourself, show them all!
To give you some idea and direction, here''s a bit about us. Dating.mobi is a newly-launched free Mobile Dating website that is aimed at the mass-market: all ages (including teenagers), all nationalities, all ethnicities, all religions, and all sexual orientations. However, it is important to keep in mind that most mobile internet users are young adults, just like us. The mobile internet is still in its infancy, but it is something that is "new", "cool", and "hip" and we have built our site with that in mind. We are aiming to become the #1 Mobile Dating site on the planet and already have the domain name to do us justice and are only missing a kick-ass logo that anyone can identify with, everyone will love, and that sets the mood for the entire mobile dating experience.
Be creative, think outside the box, take the ball and run with it, and - most importantly - have fun making these concepts, because if you enjoy doing them, that will come across in the results!
Oh, and don''t worry about having to match the current look &, feel and color scheme of our site because if we get a logo that we absolutely love but that doesn''t match our current theme, we will change the entire theme of our site to match that winning logo, that''s how important this logo is to us.

Must have
- To reduce data costs when accessed via a mobile phone, we have designed the Dating.mobi site with virtually NO images. The downside of this is that it makes our site look quite "bland''. Therefore, this makes the design of our logo even MORE important than usual because the logo - which will appear at the top of every page on our site - needs to give the site "ambience" and a great "look and feel" to "set the mood" as it will practically be the ONLY image on the site and the first thing everyone sees on every page of our site.
- This logo is for a Mobile site and will therefore be mostly viewed via the smaller screens of Mobile Phones. As a result, this logo needs to look just as good at a width of 128px as it does at a width of 640px. That is something to keep in mind.
- Vertical real-estate space is very important on a mobile site because we don''t want users having to scroll too much on such a small screen to get to the content, so we recommend keeping the proportions of the logo at somewhere around 3.333:1 (width:height).
- Since this is a .mobi site - not a .com site - we want to make sure that the ".mobi" part is clear and easy to see at a small width to ensure users don''t confuse this with the .com site. Having said that, the ".mobi" extension should be smaller than the "Dating" part.
- The website is currently in BETA, so please include that word BETA somewhere in the logo where it can later be easily removed once we''re out of BETA.
- Please include our slogan: Love is in your hands.™
- Please include an icon. Be extra creative here and go crazy. The icon should instantly communicate 2 crucial things in a fun and creative way: 1) this is a dating site, and 2) this is a mobile site.
Nice to have
- It would be nice to have...a logo that everyone absolutely loves and thinks "wow" at first glance! :)

- Should not be cheesy or tacky.
- Should not be bland, dull, boring, or uninspiring.
