Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my new business where I hand dye yarn to sell to knitters and crocheters via Etsy, fibre festivals and wool shops. My work is all about colour and I'd like the logo to use warm colours and communicate creativity and be a bit quirky but easy to read. The logo will be used on stationery, Etsy yarn labels and also printed on tote bags and possibly enamel pins.

Requirements

Must have

• warm colours and needs to evoke the hand made - this is not commercially made in a mill, it’s individual

Nice to have

• I wondered about calligraphy because of Flourish but also the other meaning is to grow and as some of my colours are dyed using plant material it would be nice to have a nature related element - I love seed heads and umbellifers.

Should not have

• I don’t want a ball of yarn and some knitting needles as a logo.
