Logo Design Brief

Logo design using the word WITNESS. I want a design element incorporated into the logo that can be used as a stand alone mark to be used on apparal, hats, etc. (Think lulu lemon). I have considered breaking up WITNESS into WIT NESS with the design element between the T and N, but I'm not set on that.
UPDATE:
I have added an idea with a stylized "W". I would like to see some variations on this.
