Logo Design Brief

Logo for Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation Half Marathon.

This will be the logo used in all marketing, shirts, hats and more for the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation. It should represent Cape Canaveral, the ocean, space, a rocket, etc...
The attached logo is kind of a feel for what I am thinking, but I do not want to be too similar to it. A nostalgic space feel is also something I would consider as is something with a futuristic feel to it. In summary, I am open to many types of logo ideas.
The Cape Canaveral Light is a historic lighthouse on the east coast of the U.S. state of Florida. The light was established in 1848 to warn ships of the dangerous shoals that lie off its coast. It is located inside the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and managed by the 45th Space Wing of the U.S. Air Force with the assistance of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation. It is the only fully operational lighthouse that is owned by the United States Air Force.

The current 151-foot (46 m) lighthouse tower was first erected and lit in 1868 then relocated further inland between 1893-1894. It was originally equipped with a first-order Fresnel lens that was automated in 1967 and then retired from the tower in 1993.

Requirements

Must have

• I need the Lighthouse (picture attached) as a side focal point in the logo. The light house in the logo must look like the one in the picture.
• I need the rocket (picture attached) in the logo. Rocket can either be on the ground or launching in sky. I would like the United States of America logo on the rocket to be seen on logo.
• I would like the ocean, swaying cane grass and the palm trees as part of the logo.
• I am thinking a circular or triangular logo similar to what has been done with NASA's space mission patches and logos.
• I need the words "Cape Canaveral Half Marathon" in the logo.
