Logo Design Brief
We are a micro brewery/brew pub start up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan,Canada. We will offer a craft beer that is locally sourced, crafted and brewed for the average hard working Canadian. We came from small town farming backgrounds (Rockglen and Weyburn) Saskatchewan. Both growing up on the prairies we would like people to feel right at home with our beer when seeing our brand and logo. Getting dirty with your hands is how Canada was built and we would like to incorporate that blue collar, hard working feel. The Rockburn theme should be simple but manly with a urban rugged feel. Our target demographic will aim for the 18 to 35 middle working class. I want them to feel they are getting an great tasting upper class pint of beer without being a beer snob. I want the customer to feel "I've earned this". When they see our logo it provides them with a comfortable laid back feeling, with the warm welcome they deserve. A place where they can come to meet up with friends and enjoy a great tasting locally sourced beer. I would like to see something with a urban wood and steel feel.
Target Market(s)
18-35 years old, middle class hard working Canadians. The ones who work their asses off and deserve a great tasting locally sourced neighborhood beer. With a warm greeting feel and the prairie quality that they are use to.

- Small town prairie feel. Crisp and clean looking. Straight to the point. looks like a craftsmen carved it out of wood. Urban wood and steel.

- grain elevator, wheat, hops. beer ingredients, grain, prairie
Should not have
- I don't want the brewery part to get lost in the design. When you see the logo I want the customer to think of relaxing with a cold pint of beer after a hard day.
