Brochure Design Brief
We are a nonprofit organization looking at revamping our template designs for our educational pamphlet series, as we edit and republish our content library for 2014. Most of the current content spans over 3 to 4 panel double-sided folded brochures, although we are not limited to that format moving forward. We would be looking for a design that is inviting prompting interest at initial pick up, while also being laid out in a manner where complex tips and advice is able to be digested by readers. We do not have a consistent brand currently among our materials so we are able to branch to a new more modern and professional look/theme, but at the same time i wouldn't want to to go so far away from our look that we clash with our colors/logo/identity.
I almost chose magazine as project type, because ideally i would prefer a design that has the ability to grow beyond a 3 panel foldable brochure, into a small multipage booklet or magazine bound style.
We are a nonprofit in the health advocacy realm that helps patients understand the insurance and medical industry so they can get and afford the care they need while battling a major illness. We have not updated our publication design in over 10 years and need a professional refresh. More about us can be found at www.patientadvocate.org
Updates
Thanks to everyone that has already contributed designs or those who have accepted the project invite and are still working on submission. I appreciate your willingness to assist our organization and participate in the process. I look forward to reviewing the designs soon.
I am excited to participate in my first project on Design Crowd, and look forward to working again on future projects within this platform.
If you have any questions or could benefit from additional explanation on aspects of the project, please feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to share any insight I have.

Target Market(s)
Our pamphlets and brochures are geared towards patients who have been diagnosed with serious illness (ex. cancer, ALS, MS) and who are navigating the healthcare system to get the care and medications they need. Patients or caregivers would pick up these brochures in cancer facilities, doctors office or through online research.
Included in uploaded files are a few of these current pamphlets, some of our more recently designed ads or promo pieces to see what we have been doing lately. If needed and requested, i'd be happy to provide links of some of the brochures of our favorite partners who have done a nice job with presenting similar information.
