Graphic Design Brief

I need a graphic / illustration design for my blog's front page that describes and conveys a feeling of a modern renaissance man.

The blog is www.thenewgeneralist.com.

It currently has a Leonardo DaVinci drawing, but it lacks the modern aspect.
It could be a composite image, a vector drawing, anything really, as long as it conveys feelings of science, data driven, history, art. If you read my bio at http://www.yourdailyvegan.com/tvp/ it should give some ideas on what it should represent.
