Logo Design Brief

Hello - we need a logo design for our company/brand that will be used on our boxes, business cards, trade show booth and website. It should be modern, minimalist and graphic as well as smart, clean and clever. Too much fine detail in our logo would be a mis-step. We are a high end, specialty (botique) seafood company that sells mostly FISH. This will serve as our mark and should be understandable to our customers who see many brands and logos on a daily basis. You can see our current logo at ARKSEAFOOD.COM Thank you so much!

The name of our company is ARK Seafood. The logo should feature ARK (which is generally capitalized, without periods) and Seafood. If there is room, we would like the subtext 'a specialty seafood company' - but that is secondary to the ARK Seafood.

Requirements

Must have

• - The words ARK and Seafood and a graphic that lets you know we are in the fish business.
• - The MARK needs to be strong enough to stand out on it's own and be evident that it's ours (e.g. not too generic)
• - Imagery must tie into FISH or THE OCEAN or something in that realm.
• - We would like for our logo to be CLEAN and instantly recognizeable with
• - It should imply that:
• - ARK is in the FISH business (they catch and sell fish)
• - They are a modern company
• - They are smart and streamlined
• - They are solid and confident
• - They are global

Nice to have

• - Ideally, our logo will look good as BLACK (on white) or in a dramatic shade of DARK BLUE (on white).
• - It should work with just ONE color. Picture it on a stark white background to start with. Our company has many of the deeper blues in our color palette.
• - If you look on the images I uploaded, Fish Logo 5 is very close to the kind of 'look and feel' that we are after. It's smart, almost Northern European in style.
• - Symmerty and geometry are always welcome (see sample uploads)

Should not have

• Please do not make this too detailed or stylized - it must be bold and smart.
• - NOT playful
• - No Multiple Colors
• - No restaurant imagery (we catch it, but we don't cook it or serve it)
• - No forks or flames, etc
• - No cursive or serif fonts please
