Web Design Brief
We need a very clean, professional and appealing website for a new company based in Avon, CT (USA) called "Power 10 Indoor Rowing Center." Basically, this company as implied by its name is an indoor rowing center that consists of indoor rowing machines (Concept 2 ergometers, http://www.concept2.com) and a rowing simulator (called a "swingulator", (http://www.rowinginnovations.com). These ergometers and simulators will in turn be interfaced with visualization and analysis software (www.digitalrowing.com) to display "virtual" races and training sessions.
Ultimately, the company will also offer advanced video analysis and 1-1 coaching, but the key message here is to leverage off the company name "Power 10" (which is a term for taking 10 very hard strokes during a rowing race) and the tagline that describes the company ("Indoor Rowing Center").
We have just completed a contest to establish the company's new logo (which I am attaching to this application) and we have some other photos that we think would be helpful in visually describing the company and its services (which I will also attach).
Part of what we like about he logo we selected are the color patterns (which will contrast nicely on both light and dark backgrounds) and the way the concept of a rower is built into the name. In addition, I like the way the number 10 subtly implies IO (as in "input and output" and/or binary numbers to also indicate a "technological dimension" to the company's services).
Also, one of the websites that we really like (that offers a similar progarm and service) in the New York City area is: http://www.brooklyn-crew.com. The site is clean, informative and easy to navigate. In terms of pages, we'd be looking for the following:
Home
Info (with sub pages for About, Code of Conduct, Experience the Difference, and Careers)
Coaches
Programs*
Blog
Contact
Donate!
*Note that the various programs will be offered and managed through a third-party tool (www.regattacentral.com) and (https://wiki.regattacentral.com/display/FAQ/FAQs#FAQs-WhatfeaturesareavailablethroughyourClubManagementservice%3F) to allow clients to register, sign an electronic waiver and pay for programs and annual memberships. An example of these links is also available at another popular rowing web page, Community Rowing in Boston, MA (https://www.communityrowing.org/signup/) or possibly another sign up service called "MindBody" (https://www.mindbodyonline.com/?ql=softwrfooter)
Finally, we would also like to have links in the navigation bar to connect to social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.
Lastly, I realize that DesignCrowd specializes in design only, but we would be interested in receiving estimates for a "turn-key" project that would include coding (or if there are specific partners your design firm works with to codify your designs).
Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can provide any additional information.
Thank you!
Eric
