CD Cover Design Brief
We need a CD Cover Design for the first album of our Indie Alternative Rock band named 'Edge Skyline' that will be released on iTunes.
We would like to see CD cover designs that are picturesque, use sky and horizon imagery, minimalist in approach, with some veil of mystery and probably have some grunge looking effect that reflects the album name "Turning Point" (transformative, positive change) and relate to our brand of music - uplifting, anthemic, atmospheric, story-driven, melodic.
Our music would be classified similar to bands such as Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse and Switchfoot.
The fonts to be used for "Edge Skyline" and "Turning Point" would be modern and cutting edge and not the typical "Arial-Verdana-Myriad Pro" fare.
We have attached design ideas for the final design.

Must have
- The words "Edge Skyline" and "Turning Point", which is the band name and album name, respectively.
- A design depicting some sort of "contrast" that denotes transformative change. For example, design could contain a contrast of colors (blue and gray or orange and gray) or a contrast of images (blue skies against gray skies) as shown in the attached design ideas, ultimately trying to tell some narrative that some change is occurring.
- A minimalist design layout.
Nice to have
- Picturesque scene that has an air of mystery and tells a story of change. (e.g. A dude is walking to the portal showing blue skies to get away from the current grayish world.)
- Sky and horizon imagery.
- Grunge effect and modern looking.
Should not have
- Too many design elements or noise on the design.
- Too many bright colors.
