Logo Design Brief

I would like to create a logo for a friends 50th birthday that I can have embroidered on a hat a shirt. We are going to Costa Rica for his birthday. Its a very simple design that I'm looking for a present a sample below, but happy to look at anything that is interesting. I need to be able to upload to a custom site (so don't want the white border around the image itself) just the impage.
