Graphic Design Brief

Overview:
Design an illustration for a 4-piece dinnerware set that will include a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, and mug. Each of the four place settings will have its own design but stay within the same theme.

The theme of this design is snowmen. Each of the 4 designs should contain 1-2 snowmen and a background of snow, evergreen trees, and a general countryside atmosphere (a small woodland animal, a cabin in the background, a snow covered path, etc)

This dinnerware set is for the family and will appeal to children, but not be so child-like that adults don't want to use it, too. A family can use it for everyday meals throughout the winter months but it's also classic and festive enough to use for entertaining and setting appetizers out on during a small gathering.

The design should be traditional, light-hearted, slightly whimsical but not too childish. The designer should keep in mind that the design will wrap around the outside of a mug and a bowl.

Style and color:
Illustration style should look like a drawing, with subdued colors, nothing too flashy or bright. See uploaded example.
Color palette should be muted and soft.

The wildflower dinnerware set image that is uploaded is to give an example of the shape of the dinnerware set that the design will be printed on. There is also a blank canvas example uploaded, which the designer can use to show the design for the various dinnerware pieces. The 2 circles are for the plates, the top rectangle is for the outside of the mug, and the bottom rectangle is for the outside rim of the bowl. Most important is seeing the 4 designs now and getting a feel for the overall set.
