Logo Design Brief

We need a new, fun race logo we can use on a facebook page for race registration, tshirts, emails, swag, etc. We are a 5km/10km/21km running race in Grande Prairie, Alberta Canada. We would like a logo we are able to utilize from one year to the next. The Press Run was originally a newspaper that still exists in this community is not a sponsor so the focus should be on actual running. Race is held in May each year and we are new race directors trying to bring some fun to the event. We could put a moose in the logo?
