Graphic Design Brief

I am looking for a family logo/motto if you will. I'd like our heritage and words that are important to us to be incorporated and I want to leave it up to an artist/designer to give this project some creativity.

With that said, I do want the following incorporated into the design. Note, this is something that I will probably want to print and put into a frame.

Where we are from:
My wife (Holli) - Pennsylvania with 100% Italian lineage so I'd like the state and country incorporated.

Myself (Mike) - California with lineage spread from Germany, France, England, Sweden and some Native American (Sioux).

Our children (Michael & Morgan) - Colorado

Requirements

Must have

• The words and the state/country noting where we are from. This could be via flags, colors, text or some combination thereof.
• Ideally, I want this to show where we are from while paying respect to our lineage which illustrates how we came together, then our 12 words is what we have deemed important in raising our kids. While we are not very religious, this is something we can point to that illustrates us...the Branam Family (Mike, Holli, Michael and Morgan).
