Hi:
We are from Houston as well. Own a home just inside the loop off of Buffalo Speedway..
FYI
http://jaydenicole.com/ ( Software is definitely Wordpress for their sites front & back end )
http://www.workout-x.com/ (Software is homegrown - unique php development either created by HyperStrike Inc. or
out sourced and branded as a HyperStrike Inc.creation ) It appears they lease it out - client size determines cost.
My question is, is your intended software base, Wordpress?
http://www.bullyentertainment.com/ ( Looks totally CSS2/Ajax, jQuery based with iframes to vimeo for the video's)
The video slider is jQuery/JS
Checking it re: designs that you state you like but thought I'd give a report on the platforms I discover.
http://www.git-tower.com/index.html ( also appears css based with ajax and jquery )
another full page graphic.. I assume this is one of the points you were trying to express concerning your visual
pleasures.
http://tekroc.com/ (WordPress based WebDev site. )- theme name "rocksolid". Ajax, jQuery running sliders
http://www.zenmobi.com/ Definitely one of my favorite CMS's Drupal. Free OpenSrc software supported by
a large onLine development community. Many fortune 500's have switched to the Drupal CMS and you can
see a few of them and others here: http://drupal.org/case-studies. Very flexible to theme the way one wants.
The site can be as little or large as needed and many mods exist (Free) that are plug and play. I think what you
see appealing - the page widths @ 100%. It's the only common thing I have seen after reviewing most of your links.
http://www.vegaone.de/booyakasha/ ( Totally flash based it seems )
http://hanloncreative.com/ ( Yet another flash based site..)
Your logo is awesome and will be reviewing your needs. If you do not have a website platform like wordpress could make some recommendations if your searching for an easy to use interface for users and admin for you.

My toy - went up in 1996 (finally) and I mainly play with new tec there. It was listed at one time on a lot of dev sites, including twice on USA Today Tec.
http://www.soft-vision.com ( just converting the site to html5, css3 and jQuery. - thus a lot of the lot links are dead..
just there as place holders as I play.
