Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a newly remodeled hotel that we have refitted into an extended stay hotel and apartments. the building also has a restaurant on it that we will be remodeling as well and leasing to a restaurant tenant. The name is Hillside Crossing and it is located in Nashville, TN. We chose the name because it is on sort of a hill and not only is it in a prime location where all the major highways intersect but also because it is a crossing between hotel and apartment living. Hotel convenience with the comforts of home. The complex is brick, two story buildings with exterior room doors and railings that wrap around the perimeter. I have included several pictures of the community but please keep in mind these pictures are prior to the construction starting. We are in the process of remodeling it now. The exterior brick will be colored a dark charcoal grey and the doors will be painted a lime green. I have included a picture of the paint color samples for your reference. We are hoping to tie these colors into the logo along with Black and White or whatever looks sleek. We are wanting a semi-modern feel for the logo but also something that will fit in with the country, more conservative market of Nashville. You will see in one of the pictures the hill that it sits on as well as the sign for the Super 8. We will be using that sign pole to put our new logo on the top of it.

Must have

• the use of the colors shown in the pictures of the color samples (as close of a match as you can get).

Nice to have

• Maybe a design with a crossing element, the two letters crossing or a design of some sort crossing over each other. Maybe a design tying in the hillside element, so maybe a slanted hill-like design that matches the slope the building sits on.

Should not have

• Should not have anything too country or too modern/contemporary. Want it to be a good balance.
