Logo Design Brief

We just changed names and need a creative logo. Our new name is Notched and may include the tagline "Timber structures, decks, and supplies".

We build timber Pergolas, gazebos, pavilions, arbors and other hand crafted wood products. We also build decks and sell deck materials and railings.

I would like a logo that is creative and memorable. I like the idea of a retro emblem style logo. I think that would lend well to the feel of an old word quality craftsmanship yet with a modern sleek feel.

Our main competitors are western timber frame, Wright timber frame, and A-1 decks. I want to really stand out and be fresh.

• I like the idea of a black and white logo that has an intricate emblem to the left and the name "notched" to the right, with the tagline below. But totally open.
• I am VERY interested in a retro emblem style logo (maybe a little vintage) that could be converted into a cool patch or plaque to be mounted on our structures.
• Must be unique and memorable.
