Logo Design Brief

Looking for a logo to place on business cards, website, for-sale signs and open house signs. The business is a new company specializing is residential real estate sales, named "Santa Barbara Estates", located in Santa Barbara California. Santa Barbara is a beautiful ocean-side town with many red-tiled Spanish-style estates and a beautiful coastline. However, please don't restrict yourself to those concepts. The logo will need to be simple yet eye-catching. Most competitors used signs that have a navy blue or gray background, sometimes with white or red lettering (all the standard "business" colors). Such a color theme is fine with me, but I would love to also consider something that stands out a little.

Target Market(s)

People buying or selling homes in the $500K to $20M range. That said, a lot of these people are not pretentious and do not consider themselves to be rich, those are just the home prices in this area.
