Create a compelling logo that can be the basis of my overall visual brand identity.
As a new freelance marketing writing small business, I need a logo that is eye-catching, modern, sophisticated, and professional. I will be providing marketing writing, content writing, ghostwriting, copy editing, and branding services.
A few notes on what I'm looking for:
- The logo design should be sophisticated, modern, and upscale
- It should have a balance between the professional and the creative (clients will range from large law firms to more progressive industries)
- For colors, I'm open, but I tend to lean towards dark purples, lavenders, dark grays, aquamarines, and grayish blues
- If imagery/icons are used, please make sure it's not too obvious, meaning not just the usual pen or computer. Though they can be used if in a creative/abstract type way
- I do tend to like logos that play a bit with the name of the company (I'll send some examples of what I mean)
- The final design should convey some combination of sophistication, creativity, communication, friendliness, professionalism, marketing expertise
- Not a must, but I've been going more towards using lowercase letters, so "danielist" not "Danielist" or "DANIELIST," though I'm open here as well
I've attached a document with a whole bunch of logos/images that I thought were creative and where I liked some of the colors. Hopefully this gives a bit of help as well.
In case it gives any inspiration, I'll give you the crazy (and hopefully humorous) story behind the name. Back when I was in high school, some friends of mine "founded a religion" in which I was named god. They called it Danielism (as my name is Daniel). This, of course, was all in good fun. I would also like to note that I did not prompt it in anyway. :)
It got played with for many years until after college, when I started writing "biblical" verses as instant messenger away messages. They were chapter and verse from my version of the Book of Daniel (totally unrelated to the Judeo-christian prophet). It became a creative outlet and something to make my friends and family laugh. My brother even asked me to write a verse as a reading for his wedding.
A danielist is what an adherent to Danielism would be called, and since Danielism was an inspiration for some of my more fun writing, it felt like a good name to go with.
