Logo Design Brief

Our firm is a financial services business that applies teachings from the world of martial arts in an investment arena. We are looking for a logo that subtly suggests this martial arts background. By subtle we mean that the logo should look conservative (see banks or accounting firms for examples) and the martial arts association should only be visible once the viewer has been pointed to it.
We have narrowed what we want down to two potential options. See the attached images for further detail.

Option 1:
LSL is created as one connected figure with the third letter rotated 180 degrees. The LSL symbol is should look like an abstracted version of a single nunchaku (google if necessary, this is a weapon comprised of two wooden sticks joined by a chain).
Partners is in classic conservative text.

Option 2:
LSL *Separator symbol* Partners. In this case we use abstracted versions of a single nunchaku or two to separate the two words in the company name. Again the focus here is that the separating symbol should be elegant and only remind people of nunchaku when they are prompted.
For both designs, we like dark blues and greys but are open minded to other professional and conservative looking colour schemes.

1. A large PNG (color)
2. A large PNG (in black and white / monochrome)
2. A vector file.
