Are designs done on WIX acceptable? or ONLY in wordpress? Please advice so I can participate. Thanks

I want to make the website editable in future. I hear wordpress is widely used for editing. You don't necessarily need to use WIX. The template provided was only an example that I started. In the next stage, I will use a website developer/designer to add functionality and edit content, so neither is necessary.
