Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our Cincinnati based IT company. Our company is 'Allied IT' but we are starting a separate division called 'Allied Wiring.' We need a good logo for this division, something that will be memorable and we can build a brand out of. Existing cabling companies have generic names, and we hope to win business by having a memorable name / logo (notice we are calling ourselves a wiring company instead of cabling, because that's what most customers call it).
We will need to feature this on our work vans, business cards and our website, alliedwiring.com. We need two versions, the second discretely saying "A division of Allied IT". Our Allied IT logo uses Xolonium font, if that helps. The final design should resonate with with contractors as well as businesses, and should hopefully accent our IT nature.
