Postcard Design Brief

Need a postcard style AD to place in dentist offices and other professionals to promote our tax saving system. We will place these in dentists offices, orthodontist, optometrist, physiotherapist and all sorts of medical/dental offices. The card should highlight how they can save taxes by using our software. Our website has good information on it, and I'll include the advertising PDF that our software company produces. Our logo is a little out-dated and I've included the bonus of the winner re-making the logo so its better than it currently is.

Must have

• Must have a call to action on the postcard to sell the service. We need people to have their attention caught. A call to action could be, "You're spending too much on taxes! That's what they'll say if your business doesn't have a 123 Health Spending Account..."
• See the PDF for other catch phrases or key information on what a Health Spending Account is. Many people don't know so I'd like to see 3-4 bullet points on the front of the postcard on what a health spending account is. See the attached PDF for that information and simplifying the information to short bullet points would be best. Here are my thoughts:
• Who should have a 123 Health Spending Account?
• - Every business owner who is incorporated should have one.
• - Write off 100% of this CRA approved this method.
• - It is the most tax effective way to run dental, health, vision and other expenses through your company.
• - Easy to use APP for your phone, 2-day turnaround time for claims
• If you aren't using this, you're throwing tax dollars away!
• The back of the postcard would include 2 things. First, an example of the taxes you can save, and second - the different information they can send us so we can setup your account.
• First is the example of how this saves you money. Assuming a 38% personal tax rate. You will need to earn $1.62 of gross income, pay $0.62 of personal tax, which leaves you with $1.00 of after tax money to use for your personal expenses.
• The example of using a 123 Health Spending Account, or doing nothing would need the following information.

• $8,100 – Total Cost $5,525 – Total Cost
• $3,100 – Income Tax $500 fee & $25 GST

• Assuming a company incorporated in Alberta and a one time setup fee of $275 has not been included in the comparison.

Nice to have

• I'd like the front of the postcard to not be very busy with the background or graphics, etc. I want the call to action to be very obvious so they want to read the bullet points and look at the back of the postcard for more information.
