Logo Design Brief

We need logo design for a new catering company based in in Southern California called "Fire and Fork Fine Barbecue". Not your average BBQ joint, we cherish wood fire cooking and believe it is the cornerstone of the culinary arts. Our team draws from their background in fine-dining to create stunningly smoked meats served up throughout Ventura County from our Food Truck. We would like to see designs that are bold but refined, draw influence from antique letter press and American Gothic styles, and don't lean too heavily on literally showing fire or a fork. Incorporation of other BBQ / cooking tools is welcome, playing with the "and" in "Fire and Fork", and separating "Fire and Fork" and "Fine Barbecue" is preferred.

Requirements

Must have

• "Fire and Fork" and "Fine Barbecue" should be separated somehow, with "Fire and Fork" more dominantly displayed.

Nice to have

• An interesting way to incorporate the "and" in "Fire and Fork", perhaps with a "+" or "/" We're more interested in a grey scale / monochromatic image with slight touches of color.

Should not have

• Bright red flames, big BBQ tongs, cartoon-like illustrations, a steak on a grill, chef's hat
