Logo Design Brief

We need a really attractive and eye-catching logo designed for a new online weight loss brand: Successful Slimming

Successful Slimming uses a completely fresh, new and sustainable approach to weight loss and is set to become a very big name in the weight loss industry. With endorsements by some of the worlds leading names in the industry, Successful Slimming is on track to becoming a household name, famous for its members achieving life-long weight loss results. This isn't a diet. It's a whole new way of life and having lost 189 lbs myself, I'm in a great position to know its value.

So, if you want to get involved and create a logo that will be seen and admired by the masses, not just in the UK, but around the world, please submit a design. We'd love to work with you!

So, in terms of what we are looking for....

****** THE DESIGN SHOULD BE SUBMITTED ON A ***PLAIN WHITE*** BACKGROUND. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT DESIGNS ON BLACK BACKGROUNDS OR PRESENTED AS BUSINESS CARDS, LETTERHEADS OR TSHIRTS ETC. I WANT ONE COPY OF EACH DESIGN ON PLAIN WHITE PLEASE. ANY SUBMITTED ON BLACK OR AS LETTERHEADS ETC WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ELIMINATED. **********

The logo really needs to stand out. To be attractive and instantly recognisable. Successful Slimming is not a diet with a food plan. It's not like Weight Watchers or Slimming World so shouldn't have any food in the logo.

I've personally wondered about the possibility of somehow creating an "S" into a curvy slim silhouette although have no idea if it would work or look good.

I'd ideally like the logo to have some kind of icon as well as the text "Successful Slimming" in the way that Apple has both the word and the apple icon or Chanel has the name and the entwined C's, for example.

We haven't yet settled on colours yet so you are free to try and create a colour scheme for us. The only thing, it needs to be bright and elegant. It needs to be feminine but confident. Although I haven’t settled on colours, it definitely SHOULDNT use the colours used by Slimming World or Weight Watchers. Which means you can use red and black as a combination or blue and green. If you’re not sure, just check out the websites of slimming world or weight watchers.

With regards to font, we need to be different. We can't use a really commonly used everyday font that people recognise easily. It would cheapen the brand. We need to be unique and stand out. The font is therefore HUGELY important and finding one that isn't part of a standard Word package, for example, would be crucial.

This is a really exciting new brand and an exciting opportunity to get your work seen on a mass scale. The brand is going to be heavily marketed online around the world, although we will initially be rolling out in the UK.

Requirements

Must have

• Submitted on a WHITE background. NO DESIGNS SUBMITTED ON BLACK BACKGROUND.
• The design must be quite FEMININE and appeal to the female market.

Nice to have

• These are not directions but just ideas so please use your own creativity:
• Perhaps you could play with the two S's of Successful Slimming so they would be recognised alone as well as with the full logo?
• Or perhaps adapt one of the S's to look like the silhouette of a slim woman?
• Whatever you do, I'd like it to be attractive and instantly recognisable.

Should not have

• Absolutely NO food icons in the logo.
