Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for an Australian based charity. The sister charity is in Tanzania and we are setting up an Australia registered charity here, to support their work. The centre provides education, clothing and support to orphans and disadvantaged children in the Korogwe district of Tanzania, as well as education and support to young girls who have been expelled after falling pregnant.

We want the logo to represent the hope and support the centre provides. We are hoping to incorporate an Australian flair too - so people understand we are based in Australia, however that is not essential

On our travels through Tanzania, we always noticed sculptures carved out of wood, with people holding hands, on top of each other. I thought this could possibly be a starter for our picture in the logo, although that is only an idea.

I have attached the logo of 'free the children'. We like the use of capital letters for the main message and lower case for the rest - this may suit us. For example:

At this stage we are a small charity and receive donations from local supporters however we are beginning to attract large business interest (Ernst and Young and looking to donate to us, for example) so we will have quite a broad audience.
