Web Design Brief

Background: Sensible, ecological management means that Tasmania’s talented wood workers and designers will always have access to a small but reliable supply of these superb timbers.

Our Boards are totally unique. There is no other board like it, not even another made by us. That’s because our boards are hand built by Tasmanian craftsmen using hand selected timbers sourced from sustainable native and plantation forests.

As a result of this sensible, ecological management, Tasmania’s talented designers and manufacturers will always have access to a small but reliable supply.

The client wants - a clean, professional and elegant look that prompts the target audience to browse the product catalogue and make an online enquiry. The design is to be light and clean but creative with a Danish type of look. The design must emphasise the uniqueness of the chopping boards as they are hand made.

Designs with timber/stainless steel and/or stone with black and light pine colours will be preferred.

Target Market(s)

The target consumer audience is the upper socio-economic groups. Readers of Vogue, Delicious, Gourmet magazines. The types of consumers expect individuality and high quality. Restaurants - are also part of the target audience. The restaurateur will use the chopping blocks for presentation of food in the restuarant. - ie. Anti-pasti, cheese boards.
