Logo Design Brief

Hey Design-crowders, we are helping a group of young people startup a youth-led social (food) enterprise. They have had a rough start to life so this project is a chance for them to learn about food+biz+tech and they need a logo (real quick, sorry about the rush job). Our food is fresh, artisan and seasonal - nachos, pies, salads, burgers. Could include a range of pantry items too. Note the name "Fernside" is derived from a suburb of Sydney called Redfern which, has seen some troubles and is home to many who live in social housing. Being on the "Fern-side" of town means being in Redfern. At times the FF team will be feeding the homeless or delivering good food deeds to make people happy and change lives. Important work that needs a great logo. Thank You!

Target Market(s)

Audience includes their peers who are local skaters and other young people at festivals - aged 16-30 "youth". For use on social, t-shirts, banners, menus, etc and potentially on a truck.

Requirements

Must have

• Black on White and reversed, to fit round or square format (no long oblong shapes pls). Needs to be welcoming and not scare the elders or offend the funders! We brainstormed with the team and came up with a few examples as attached - yep there is a pigeon in a couple coz one of the team has a thing about them.

Nice to have

• Many of the team skate so they are keen to get a cool, but STRONG, SHARP, FRESH look like some of the well known skater brands (Element, DC Shoes, Fallen). Maybe something that makes use of the "F"s

Should not have

• Skulls, ghouls, dripping blood or cute dancing burgers.
