Background
Koala Autorent is an independent car rental company in Hungary, operating from the capital, Budapest, since 2011. Over the years Koala Autorent has established a strong position in the market by servicing primarily the needs of expats returning home, tourists visiting Hungary and small to medium-sized companies looking for a more affordable alternative compared to the big car rental chains like Sixt, Budget or Europcar.
Now
ű Koala Autorent is planning a major shift in their strategy: From Autumn on they will also offer an innovative subscription-based model to Hungarian locals. As a part of this strategy, Koala Autorent has also opened its first ever store in one of Budapest’s prime shopping malls, Mammut.
Challenge
This shift in strategy needs also to be reflected in the brand. The current visual identity of Koala Autorent, though well-recognised by their existing customer base, does not appeal to the more forward-thinking potential customers who would consider a subscription for a car.
Objective
Make Koala Autorent appealing for the new target group while still remaining recognisable to its core customer base.

The current logo has been designed years ago and it shows. Evolve the Koala Autorent logo
